William Barrington earned a B.A. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the College of Wooster in 2010 and a Ph.D. in Genetics from North Carolina State University in 2016. He worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Texas A&M University in 2016 and will begin a Postdoctoral Researcher position at the University of California Los Angeles in 2017.
William’s research has centered on understanding how genetic factors cause people to respond differently to diets, with the goal of improving human health by optimizing individuals’ diets. William believes it is critical to inform the public about the genetics and nutrition research currently taking place in academic institutions. He hopes this blog will serve as an intermediary between academic journals, where research is published, and the public for whom the research benefits.
